The Hammer City Roller Girls are celebrating another great year with an outdoor showdown this Sunday.
The HCRG will be broken up into Golden Oldies and Bronze Babies for this scrimmage match. This is a family, and pet, friendly event. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and get ready for some outdoor roller fun.
This event is weather permitting, so if you plan to go make sure you check the HCRG facebook /twitter page if the weather seems risky.

The biggest thing I’m looking forward to this Sunday: Working the bench for the Bronze Babies while my wounded paw heals

Pre-game music: My pre-game music tends to change, and ranges from fast & aggressive to pop.
When I’m not in the rink you can find me: Digging in my garden, or stretching and preparing my body with hot yoga – stretching and releasing muscle tension is really important in roller derby, and prevents injury!
The biggest thing I’m looking forward to this Sunday: Giving our youthful opponents a really great game. Both teams have hard hitters, and swift offence. I can tell this is going to be a fun, competitive game.

The biggest thing I’m looking forward to this Sunday: Fun in the sun!
Biggest fan: Heather from Sarnia, we went to high school together and she is amazed by how awesome HCRG is.

Favourite spot in Hamilton: The Pier 8 Skate Pad is one place I love, but I also enjoy all the beautiful trails we have here inHamilton.
Pre-game music: Right now I’d have to say Hypnotize by Jack White but who knows what I’ll be in the mood for come game day.
When I’m not in the rink you can find me: Hanging out with my munchkins – we have a lot of fun mountain biking but in the summer we spend most of our free time on the beach in Port Dover.
The biggest thing I’m looking forward to this Sunday: FINALLY being back on skates after a knee injury.
Biggest fan: My kids. They spent all day making me a huge “Sox” sign for the bout in June, and they held it up through the whole game. How cute is that?!
