Steel Gold is celebrating their first anniversary tonight at the Casbah Lounge.
It has been a full year since a few great minds came together to create this fantastic weekly event.
Here, at Happening Hamilton, we've covered each month and have personally attended 80% of the shows. I can say without any hesitation that Steel Gold is truly one of the best things going in this city and a positive force in our music community.
It is a wonderful venue for both seasoned performers and newcomers alike. From the hip hop godfather Lee Reed to first time nervous rappers trying out their stuff – Steel Gold offers a supportive community and an open mic.
Come out tonight for their 1st year anniversary to celebrate or to check it out for the first time. You can expect several excellent performances, free cake, and Lee Reed playing the host.
