Saturday, June 23rd – all day – Absinthe, Homegrown, and Dr. Disc – $8
Ahh, summer. Amongst the many perks of summer is the increase in music festivals. There are few things greater than spending a relaxing weekend walking from venue to venue to see your favourite artists.
Open to The Core music festival is happening this Saturday downtown at: Homegrown Hamilton, Absinthe, and Dr. Disc (basement).
The festival features quite the impressive line up, with a variety of genres, and a lot of local talent in the mix. The full schedule can be seen here. A few highlights are: Silverstein, Saint Aliva, Organ Thieves, and local heroes – Lee Reed, Canadian Winter, Rifkin, Kirby.. and many more.
You can purchase a pass for $8 that gives access to all of the shows on Saturday. Check out the official website for full details: http://www.opentothecore.com

Some of the bands playing at Dr.Disc are going to be on the rooftop out back! Killin’ Time Band, Black Burn and June & July I believe.
Oh and the rooftop part ( between 4 and 7pm) is FREE!
