This weekend, don’t miss two great benefit concerts featuring local bands raising money for good causes.
Friday night, local super-duo Whitehorse (aka Luke Doucet and Melissa McClelland) will be joining The Donefors and other friends for a fundraiser in support of the Ladybird Animal Sanctuary, a local safe haven for dogs and cats in need. Animal welfare doesn’t get more personal for these fabulous musicians–the Sanctuary was their creation and has saved 40 animals this year. @ This Ain’t Hollywood (345 James St. N), suggested $20 donation at the door.
And on Saturday, don’t miss local bands Dinner Belles, The Weather Station, & Bruekke in this year’s final New Harbours Music Series show at the Christ’s Church Cathedral (252 James St. N). This event is in support of the Cathedral Meal Ticket Program, and begins at 8pm. Suggested $10 donation at the door.
