Spirit of Red Hill Valley Lecture; Dr. Pamela Blais

This is the 7th annual Spirit of Red Hill Valley lecture, a free lecture series focused on themes of the environment, sustainability and social justice.

This years guest is Dr. Pamela Blais, author of “Perverse Cities: hidden subsidies, wonky policy & urban sprawl.” Runner up for the Donner prize. She will be speaking specifically about how her views apply to Hamilton. Dr. Blais has been a major influence on urban planning policy in Ontario, and one of the most articulate advocates of stopping sprawl, a leading voice for at least 2 decades.

Again the lecture is free and will be held at the First Unitarian Church 170 Dundurn St. Doors open at 6:45pm and the Lecture begins at 7:30.
