Clothing Swap

Monday November 14th, 10-2 @ McMaster University Student Centre

Threadwork, founded last year by a group of McMaster students, is an OPIRG working group that promotes sustainable clothing consumption in the McMaster community. Their two clothing swaps last year were lot of fun, and this year, with the help of MacGreen, promises to be the biggest one yet. The first clothing swap of 2011 is this Monday November 14th from 10am-2pm in the student centre at Mac. Here’s how it works: bring in any clothing you no longer wear to collection tables, set this week in the student centre from 11-1 daily. You’ll get points corresponding to the items you bring in (see pic). Then, on swap day, come and “shop” through all the donations, using your points as currency. The leftover items will be donated to the Canadian Diabetes Association. There will also be a knitting table set up on swap day. If you are interested in helping teach new knitters, please contact macthreadwork@gmail.com. See y’all there!
