Sometimes I just want to go on a date to reflect, catch up, and enjoy the company of the one I love without burning a hole in my pocket. While in the midst of consecutive golden summer days all you need is the perfect backdrop to have a simple, summer date. My date and I chose the Hamilton Waterfront as our backdrop – a location that swept us away from the thick heat of the downtown streets, and presented us with a soothing lake breeze and beautiful scenery.

Since moving to downtown Hamilton last fall, my boyfriend and I have taken full advantage of our close proximity to the market. There’s something so special about entering a big, bustling space where farmers and small businesses unite to bring bright colours, alluring smells and tasty flavours, especially in the summer time.
