The James North Art Crawl is now a Hamilton tradition, and an institution in and of itself. It’s interesting, now, to see how new exhibits, new attractions, and new shows come by each month to spice things up. This month is no different, with May’s Artcrawl including “Field Trip,” a pop-up shop. This is an event where out-of-town shops “pop up” in James North. Several boutiques from around the province are coming to the Hammer to set up shop for one night (and one day, the next day, Saturday, May 14th) bringing all of their unique and one-of-a-kind clothing, accessories, trinkets, knick-knacks, and curiosities. Setting up shop in the newly renovated, and beautiful, large space known to locals as friendship, it promises to be a great night out in Hamilton!

Visiting stores include: Preloved, from Toronto, Robber, also Toronto, Fieldguided, Toronto, Victoire Boutique, of Ottawa, and our very own YarnOverMovement and White Elephant. The pop-up shop is open noon – 11 pm on the Friday, and noon – 6 pm on the Saturday. This is a one-shot deal, the only opportunity you’ll have, these shops are coming to you, so you don’t have to brave traffic to get to them, so make sure you get out there and check out these very chic retailers!
