Friday, June 29th to Monday, July 2nd – Gage Park
Canada’s longest running and largest free festival is back this weekend at Gage Park. The performers for the main stage were announced weeks ago and can be found here.
The real excitement, however, will be happening at the New Music stage (towards the back of the park – near the carnival rides). The line up for this year’s New Music expo is fantastic and the full list of performers – with the schedule can be found on the Facebook page.
A few of our highlights are: Manter, KA$HKAVAL, The Hamilton Hi-Cats, Supa83, Lee Reed, The Motestra, Earth Wind & Choir, Huren, Cessna, and glassEYELashes. That is just a small sample of the amazing line up for this weekend.
Saturday, June 30th. 8pm @The Casbah + Casbah Lounge – $PWYC
Seen – A Document(ary) of Hamilton Music has been garnering enthusiasm around Hamilton ever since the teaser-trailer was released a few months ago.
Hamilton has had a vibrant music scene for a long time and this documentary project is a fantastic way to honour that.
Many local bands will be performing, both in the main room and the lounge, on Saturday. The lineup includes: Tomi Swick, Live How You Live, Engine Empire, Weekend Riot Club, The Human Orchestra, Animal Farm, Kirby, Max Wray, Trevor Howard, Robin Benedict, and Ellie K.
