Local Hamilton singing group, Strata Vocal Ensemble, will be performing an all-Canadian line-up at MacNiell Baptist Church in Westdale next weekend. Proud can-con will be in full effect as classical standards, energetic Newfoundland jigs, beautiful Quebecois anthems, and folk songs that could make your Canadiana-loving hearts burst, are presented. You can look forward to hearing the likes of Oscar Peterson, Leonard Cohen, Ian Tyson, and many, many more. Original music will also be showcased care of chorus members Abigail Richardson, Jon Arno Lawson, Gordon Adnams, and Peter Tigchelaar. Sounds like a fantastic way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
Tickets are $20 at the door for adults, $15 for seniors, and $5 for students.
